The following are four buildings for use in Big City. If a building cannot be built until City Hall is constructed it will list this as a prerequisite (!). If a building is a special building (for Shopping Center consideration) this will be listed under effect (*).

| HOSPITAL |
(2 Space building)
|
| Basic Value: | 3 |
| !(Prerequisite): | City Hall |
| Adjacent: | The Hospital receives an increasing bonus based on the
number of occupied adjacent properties (including parks and factories): 1: +1 2: +3 3: +6 4: +10 5: +15 6: +21 (It's the number of occupied properties that count not the actual buildings so a double residence still counts as 2 properties in this regard.) |

In creating these extras I wanted to increase the interaction in the game.
It should be noted that the Hospital is potentially worth a great many points and yet is very easy to build. The trick is that there's only one in the game. This means that there's an incentive to wait as long as possible to build it (so that it's worth more) but if you wait too long someone else will do it first.
I'm very interested in hearing any thoughts people have on these, please send any comments to: editor@thegamesjournal.com.
