Quite obviously people enjoyed last month's Black Vienna puzzle it was easily the most popular one we've ever run based on the number of responses received. Consider this an open request to submit more of the same. Creating puzzles is difficult but there is obviously a demand for it.

I'd also like to suggest that Black Vienna is ripe for re-publishing. It's a very difficult game to acquire, there appears to be much demand and, as far as I can tell, it was never available in large numbers. Further, it would seem to be a fairly inexpensive game to produce as the essential components are relatively sparse: two decks of cards (one with 27 cards, the other 36) and a number of generic markers. Most printing companies are set up to produce decks of 55 or 60 cards and so conforming to this number makes sense economically. I'm not sure if the entire deck of 36 investigation cards are necessary or if a subset would work just as well. Any Black Vienna experts have an opinion on this? Screens (and possibly note-taking sheets) would be nice but not essential. Maybe it would be worthwhile sending an e-mail to your favourite game company suggesting the idea?

I've been hearing good things about Diamant simple, push-your-luck fun that takes about 15 minutes and generates lots of laughs. However, a common complaint is that it's an expensive game for what you get minimal components but a $30US (or so) price. This strikes me as fairly modest and even if the components do not justify the price, how do you place a value on fun? If you have a great time playing the game should it matter that the cardboard is expensive?
